Technical

The CSCC has the mandate to provide clarity on the Amended Construction Sector Codes. Its Technical Review Committee provides the industry with technical assistance, clarifying possible interpretations and applicability of items detailed in the Amended CSC (2017).

Queries must first be directed to either SANAS or the ABP. If these organisations require further clarification, the query will be forwarded to the Technical Review Committee for comment.

The Committee has also issued Practice notes for issue to the industry, which are uploaded (as and when they become available) to this page.

The CSCC has therefore set up a Technical Review Committee that deals with these queries. It is therefore important that any queries are first directed to either SANAS or the ABP. If these organisations deem it necessary to request further clarification, the query will be forwarded to the TRC for comment.

The TRC has issued Practice Notes for issue to industry and these will be periodically uploaded as and when they are available. It is important to note that these do not replace the legal provisions of the Amended Construction Sector Codes (ACSC) of 1 December 2017 as gazetted. These Practice Notes are explanatory notes, in an attempt to clarify  and expand on the intent and implementation of the ACSC, which contain technical and industry specific terms.
